Mr. Petrillo is a graduate of Montclair State University where he received a Bachelor’s of Science degree and began teaching physical education in the Essex County area. For the last seven years Mr. Petrillo taught physical education under the Archdiocese. Mr. Petrillo has been a high school varsity baseball and basketball coach for over ten years in the Essex County area. He is currently a coach at Montville helping their baseball program in the Fall and Spring. He is a certified Referee for the NJISA. This is his fourth year teaching at OLC where he encourages students the core values and tools of success.
He will be teaching physical education PreK-8th grade about promoting developing essential body management skills. He will be teaching our students about learning new techniques, strategies, in a game-like atmosphere. Field Day will be hosted by Mr. Petrillo. Field Day is such a success that OLC will be hosting two separate dates for Field Day. One for the Fall, and One for the Spring. Field Day will be a time for kids to get out and play sports, along with carnival like activities. Most importantly, how sportsmanship is a tremendous value to have during all of these tremendous games. The Jump-A-Thon is also another exciting event that takes place. He is extremely excited to start a new school year and looking forward to all the exciting memories this year.
